Leading bodies in the Adult Care sector have today written to George Osborne, warning that vital care services are still at risk, despite the above inflation increase in funding included in the Chancellor’s recent spending review.

The BBC reports that the 2% increase in Council Tax included in the Chancellor’s spending review, for Local Authorities to increase funding for adult social care will not prevent the growing crisis in the sector. The £1.5 billion promised for the Better Care Fund will not come into effect until 2019, leaving Local Authorities struggling to fund these vital care services.

Case Manager has been designed to help Local Authorities increase the effectiveness of their services and reduce costs. Processes such as communications and reporting can be automated and data can be shared securely with third parties, to prevent duplication and speed up achieving outcomes for clients.

Local Authorities use Case Manager for a range of purposes, including providing social care, housing support and benefits and welfare advice. The system is also used by many Housing Associations, charities and advice centres.
